Brotherhood and Unity

Beta Upsilon Chi's exists for the purpose of establishing brotherhood and unity among college men based on the common bond of Jesus Christ. The organization seeks these purposes through the avenue of a social fraternity on a college campus.

The overall goal of Beta Upsilon Chi is to provide a place for men that want to grow together in a fraternity without having to give into the worldly aspects of other organizations. The technical service or product BYX provides is a brotherhood for men that want to grow in Christ.

The organization's main competitors are other fraternal organizations and various on campus student ministries. Sigma Phi Epsilon and Alpha Tau Omega are the two main houses BYX competes with during the rush process. Several students also view BYX as a ministry and not a fraternity which results in competition with Crossover, Baptist Campus Ministries and Intervarsity.

The core values coincide very closely with the mission of BYX. The most dominant attitudes and values Beta Upsilon Chi strives to have are compassion, grace, selflessness, and a "one unit mentality."

Members of BYX aim to live up to these values by the way they carry themselves in all aspects of their lives.

Overall, BYX provides a home for guys that want to establish brotherhood and bonds with like minded individuals. The organization sets itself apart from other organizations by being the only solely focused Christian fraternity.
