I sit down to write this after reading through and reflecting on my blog posts from this semester. I was excited to start this class and to learn about design!
I can hear the eagerness and excitement in my writing from my early blog posts. There were a few blog posts that I didn't follow the rubric and I lost points because of it. I can see why now. The blog posts after the few that I lost points are very different from my first view. I see this is as my "turning the corner" moment. I made sure to be more creative in my title choices and focus on what rubrics asked me in every single assignment.
From all my projects I take the most pride in my letterhead and envelope. I am a huge fan of minimalistic design and feel that my project looked great and was very simple. I spent a lot of time on that first project and I am so glad I put in as much effort as I did.
Next, after looking back at some of my direct mailers, I am a little disappointed in how they look. I definitely gave effort but I should have scratched one of my designs and just started over.
Most importantly, this semester I feel that I have grown so much as a PR practitioner this semester. I came into this semester with little design experience and I have grown to love and enjoy Adobe.
I am grateful for this class and can't wait to grow more as a designer.
